The Practice of Making

Shree Nemi Art Export is based in Jodhpur, India, and makes handcrafted, design-driven furniture. Rooted in South Asian Modernism, our collections include re-editions of significant 20th century designs from the region, as well as contemporary objects created in collaboration with acclaimed furniture and textile designers.

Combining age-old skills with modernist design, we create timeless pieces that go beyond the aesthetic. Every stage of production is carried out by skilled human hands — from wood sourcing and prototyping, through carpentry, cane weaving, upholstery and wood finishing, to final quality control and packing.
